Formed in August 2020, The Backpack Project of Columbia (TBP/Columbia) is our first chapter outside of the state of Georgia. The chapter is a University of South Carolina student organization which partners with local service providers in Columbia, SC. TBP/Columbia works most closely with Mental Illness Recovery Center, Inc. (MIRCI), providing backpacks and other assistance during MIRCI's outreach engagements at local homeless encampments.
